Hello, my name is Tom, the leading tutor at Bricks English. I have graduated from ELTE as a philologist in English studies and American studies. I have got my pedagogy qualification at ELTE PPK Faculty of Education and Psychology. I worked as a language instructor at Jazan University KSA from 2015-2020. Besides teaching, translating, and interpreting my favorite fields are history, diplomatic relations, literary translation analysis, and creative writing. I have been teaching for over twenty years. I lived in Canada (BC Kelowna) for two years, and also in the USA for four years (New York, Kansas, Pensacola). I have travelled extensively, from Mexico to Alaska through India and the Arab world. I have discovered many interesting cultures. I also teach at elite summer camps in the UK such as LINES near London. I have learnt a lot of people skills, starting as a sommelier on American cruise liners (Celebrity) and as a waiter in an Italian and a Greek restaurant in New York, or as a steward at one of the most prominent families in Kansas City, not to mention my event organizing and foreign trade representative jobs back in Hungary. I believe that the school of life, the discoveries and the need for constant self-improvement are just as important for teachers as the qualifications and the academic knowledge.
